depending on what the illusion was it might work but giving her other people/things to fight is definitely a way to go

one other way that rowena could help stop (subdue) vanessa is to put her to sleep, she has a sleepy spell but that wouldn't actually stop the problem maybe??? but she'd definitely have to be able to get anywhere near vanessa to do this
