MARCH FEEDBACK.

Hello, Etrayans!

Happy one year! We're happy to have all of you with us, and hope that you've been enjoying the game thus far!

We like to, every three months, put up one of these feedback posts. This gives you, the player, a space to voice any comments/concerns/suggestions, as well as speak with your fellow players about any of those concerns/comments/suggestions. As of the last feedback post, we're also using these as a space for players to suggest missions as well as ask general game questions.

Since the last feedback post, we have switched to opening our applications every other month as opposed to monthly, as well as removed the monthly mingles and switched them to only occur on months when applications have been opened. We have also switched our missions to be a little more flexible timing wise - sometimes allowing them to continue for a month, or be as short as two weeks, depending on the mission content itself. Please let us know how these changes are working for you!

This post is entirely unscreened! If you'd like, please visit our old feedback posts for an idea of how these have gone historically. If you prefer to provide your feedback in private, we have our mod contact post, which is always open to players.

Thank you,
Etraya Mods

Underwater mission! Everyone is either turned into a mer-creature or has access to other means of surviving underwater.

I think it would be neat :D

Maybe in a couple months, just in time for MerMay!

This was also my first thought, /hi-5

Which is to say I am a sucker for animal or monster transformations. Plus there is a lot of water around Etraya? Maybe we have to ensure that invasions can't come in by sea, so hey, some people gotta transform and survey and bolster the area from beneath! Make sure no portals crop up down where it's wetter.

Ok after the talk on discord, an aging up/aging down event. Maybe aging up/down/or whole ass AU change for extra options??

James Bond spy stuff, perhaps casino style????

That's it that's my whole thought.

The Plotting channel endorses this idea:

Objectives could include
1. Hobnob-ing with high rollers to get information/access to info.
2. Ocean's 11 stealing riches/macguffins from the casino treasury
3. There's a tournament that needs to be won! Someone's gotta-- will it be you?

Additionally, characters under (whatever regional gambling age is chosen) can get fake IDs (automatically or after a task?) so that they get as much access to objectives as the adult crowd.

This would be a great mission setting OR TDM temp-setting, in my opinion!

A mission where Etrayan Youth Corp (and the others) get sent to summer camp.

Some popular Plotting Highlights

Holly 💝 Popp — 1:53 PM
I have never seen a fictional depiction of a summer camp that did not end in disaster and none of those had superheroes in them

Maruah - Gaia — 1:54 PM
I mean there's the whole Percy Jackson stuff but point just better proven.
Go to summer camp, reinact the whole titanomachy
(on manhatten)

maxime | eddie brock — 3:12 PM
this sounds adorable
and also like someone might die
please let it happen

Maruah - Gaia — 3:12 PM
many someones

Bugly | Sleeper — 3:16 PM
[personal profile] maxime | eddie brock Just imagine Camp Counselor Eddie!

Zorn 👑 Barnabas Tharmr 🦗 Enki — 3:17 PM
Camp Counselor Barnabas would be a mistake and a nightmare, probably

Samuel | Kaeya — 3:17 PM
I can hear it already

Lizzie 🌻 Chrissy — 3:17 PM
Camp Counselor Venom

A mission about survival and choices.

- Etrayans are sent to a building that seems half-forgotten, but minimally functional. Aesthetic are like some kind of station that was meant to be lived in. They will be able to find out how much energy, resources, and oxygen they have, and they can find ways to replenish these.

- To replenish their resources, they will need to sacrifice time and energy. Examples can be completing tasks on computers that seem meaningless, riding on bikes, running on wheels - and to stop people who have excess energy, these tasks can only accept so much energy at once or something will break and go offline. Everyone is kept equal in this way so that no one person can give more than the average human.

  • To make it 'fun', there can be a system that's called offering a sacrifice for larger reward. This can be an individual offering to go into a tube that will exhaust them after, and will be the only way someone can give more, but it will tire them out from doing so.
- The station can be searched for repair parts and also to get access to more luxuries. Fixing up showers, finding extra rations or repairing machinery that makes the food. Very simple but comfortable things.

- To add more of a challenge, Etrayans can either be put into groups that separates them (groups of 15-25 or something like that than too small groups), or there can be signs of other people in other parts of the station. None of these people can be seen or reached, and it's hard to tell if they even exist. However, resources can be transferred ... or even stolen from people. There's a chance of betrayal or even mistakes, but it's hard to tell.

This would give characters of different moralities and skills something to contribute! I would love to help finesse the details with you lovely mods if you're into it, and could give suggestions for the log and even how to approach giving people extra tasks. If you're into it. :)

A mission about ~*Living In a Society*~

This takes place in Etraya, and for the length of a mission, Etrayans must run Etraya in a way that not only benefits each other, but either guests to Etraya, or Etraya's very own bots!

Shops will no longer be stocked automatically, and they will also be missing pre-made foods. Shelves will need to be filled up, streets will need to be cleaned, and job opportunities will be made to suit different careers: woodworking, fishing, technician work. Though keeping jobs around interaction will be key!

This is basically 'make Etrayans live like they have a 9 to 5'. If they serve bots, characters who have been mean to bots will be given a harder time. They will also receive an array of tasks to fulfil depending on their work. Characters can submit jobs they prefer or can be given roles.

Everyone will have to work a 9 to 5 or some equivalent, even the young people. The job doesn't have to be taxing, but it's about people's choices about what they do. There can also be a temporary 'payment system', where a person can be given points if someone likes them, if they do their work, or they can be deducted points for not doing work or if someone doesn't like them that day!! (If they provided a poor service, were rude, etc.)

There can be people who are meant to enforce some very basic rules. If characters let others get away with stealing instead of paying, then both will be punished. Everything has a cost: food, watching television, taking part in fun. Punishment can be from writing a letter to someone they've wrong, to doing community service. Or worse.

There can be a theme park for some fun, and also some workshops where people have to create... works that are less about the end result, but the effort and creativity put into it, sometimes. It's like a bot knows how much thought you did or didn't put into something!

Their overall points at the end don't matter, but what they do and don't do.

An adventure out on sea!

This could go alone with the underwater, but also, what if: we be pirates? Or sail boats, anyway.

  • Placed solely on boats where they must ride out to different islands to capture flags! Or they have a choice between a low level item they must find, or a higher, more dangerous item! People will have maps that show which islands have what level of reward.

  • Going underwater for treasure can also be a thing, and having potions that will transform a person's shape to swim underwater and have to manage themselves in this new form is essential.

  • Characters can never get the reward/item solo. The chest will never open/the flag will not leave its sitting spot without at least 2-3 people present.

  • Are you a bad enough dude to board another ship for their BOOTY? Or are you boring and going to try and work together?

  • Maybe there can be side tasks where people can collect items that can be traded it for goodies. What kind of goodies? TRAPS. Or additions for their boats. Put bots in pirate hats and give them little scarves.

  • There is a limited amount of high reward items, and perhaps mediums. A 'winner' boat can be deduced by 1) how many boats they take out, 2) how many rewards they get, and 3) how much they help the bots in tasks. Or something like that.

  • Some character abilities can give them an upper hand, but there will be ways of stopping people from flying to every island in five seconds, nobody can make something from thin air, and you'll need to use planning and activity to get a high amount of goodies.

Have maybe 6 boats total. If a boat gets destroyed, characters can join other ships, but they won't get the 1st Place reward even if that ship wins. Jumping ships will also deduct points on the ship they jump over to (if their ship still exists). These points can obviously be made back by doing tasks out on sea.
